June 08 So far not too bad.Wow the year is nearly half over.
Competitions have started and there has been some great bodies appearing on the stage, but womens bodybuilding is lacking badly.
Except for my friend Taylor Young who has returned to the stage and won the Nabba Sth Hemi last week, go girlfriend - love you - you rock.
As for me, well on 12th April l turned another year older, then my training partner informed me due to work he couldnt train in the mornings. My god when did i get so use to him being there every morning. This from someone who has trained alone for over 20 years. Damn I miss the bum. Luckily my old mate Marty shows up when he can and not fighting fires.
Then two weeks later I tore my calf, or so they think, but it involved nerve damage somewhere between my lower back and toe.
Why dont i know, because all the experts dont know.
I have lost control, strength and stability in my right leg, terrific?
So where does that leave me training and competing?
Besides all this I am training and feeling pretty good overall, even though I cant train legs, lost my training partner and getting older by the minute.
So I have decided to get stuck into a few other things whilst the body is resting.
Next week I am going back to study, Aged Care - with a view to nursing next year.
Then on the 21st of June I am venturing into seminars, these are focused on educating the average person, gym goer and people just wanting to feel good, based on eating and exercising, making sense of it all and trying to make it simply to live with.
And i am going to be doing a bit of travel around the world.
But no word of retirement, never say never.
